Dance is a healthy outlet, typically, reserved for younger demographics. However, flamenco can be enjoyed by all ages to manage stress & daily drama. A spiritual outlet from itsinception, the Gypsies, Jews & the Moors combined their music to overcome oppression through community and comradery, forged in artistic expression.

For this reason, Flamenco Fever aims to create a sustainable ‘flamenco community’ through educational & performance initiatives, so that the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex can cultivate the same quality flamenco as enjoyed in other cities in the nation & around world. While theater performances are part of our annual event schedule, we also host dozens of free & lower priced events in restaurants, bars, and music venues. Echoing the tradition of the flamenco “tablao”, this festive & accessible environment is meant to welcome new audience members to attend cultural events, bring their friends that mightbe intimidated by expensive theater settings &, for some, to enroll in weekly classes offered in singing, dance & guitar.

Flamenco Fever is committed to sharing the art of flamenco as part of inspiring & diversifying DFW’s cultural landscape, while preserving the Hispanic heritage of Oak Cliff, where it is based.
